So sorry to hear of Evelyn's passing. I went to school with her and was close with her in Oak View.

I put a flag on Evie's memorial grave because of her dedicated service to Military service men when she and I worked with the "Avenue of the Flags" and "Memorial Day parade" and Veterans Day dinners here at Whitebriar., www.whitebriarbedandbreakfast.com. I will miss your smiling face. Carole Lokan Moore

Dear Chris,
We only learned that your mother was ill at Thanksgiving, but didn't know how to get in touch with her.I tried at work/home. Today, Bob Leary, who knew I was a good friend of your mother's saw the article.Evie was a "blessing" to all those around her.E gave my daughter's presents- first born arrived- "appliqued" blanket.Valentines Day made me two "heart angels".I still use to decorate my home each February. Most Importantly, when I worked to resolve legal issue re Cooper St Store. E dropped off two trees to thank me for the hours of toil we put together with legal issues.I planted the "Peach and Nectarine" trees on the corner (GreenAtCooper) of Cafe, she could ride past every day. I have called them: "The Evie Peach trees", indicating my wording might have been reversed, she, my dear friend, who suffered much in this life, was in deed, "a Peach of a friend".I will always remember her for her smiling face, willing effort to help any living creature, especially her dogs.Carole
