Sadly I read Bobbies' notice today in the Star Ledger. My sincere condolences. I am the grandaughter of Willis W. Davis and Ellen Davis. My mother was Dorothy L. Davis Weeks and my dad was Harry N. Weeks. We lived in Belleville and I had two brothers, the oldest being Brian N. Weeks, middle child John Henry Weeks and I was the youngest. I remember Uncle Charlie and Aunt Bea as well as your Mother and Carol. My grand parents took my Mom and I to luncheon to meet Bobbies' new baby, oh so many years ago. I believe the baby was a girl? I also attended Carol's lovely wedding.I'm thinking the last time I saw your family may have been Uncle Charlie's funeral. Isn't it sad the way families drift apart? I see that Carol is still alive. I know she had lived in Florida. Believe I know that from Ancestry.com. I do wish she would contact me. John's wife Pat has been stuggling with the family tree and has recently found some Freeman information. I had planned to attend the memorial until my husband Mike reminded me we would be away Friday and Saturday. To see Carol again would have been very special. My Mom was very fond of Charlie, Bea and the girls. I have her cook book with receipes and notes from Bea. I would be willing to share them. To Carol: It is hard watching them all go. Brian only made it to 60 as did my Dad. I have dinner with John most Friday nights. He is over 70, I will be 70 in December. I hope you remained close with Bobbie. I have been the source of much of the info on the family. Being the baby and only girl for many years I was right there or listening outside the door, when the ladies chatted. You are the last Davis family member I know of. I would love to correspond with you. Most of my info has proven correct, but being younger there are plenty of blanks. If you would prefer to talk feel free to call 973-886-7837. Fondly, Karen
