I only met Mark twice for a very short period of time. He was a kind and gentle soul. I can see why he was so deeply loved by all those that knew him. Several weeks ago I spoke with a beautiful young man with piercing blue eyes and an engaging smile. We spoke of travel and my wish to live in Florence Italy for a year. He told me I should definitely do it. When I expressed my reservations he encouraged me. "Be brave" he said. I shall always remember that conversation. It has stayed with me because he "walked the walk". He was brave and had the confidence to be at home no matter where he happened to land. He reminded me of a favorite saying "All who wander are not lost". Continue to be brave,gentle spirit. You have touched many and we are better for it.

I only had the honour to meet Mark once, it was through that one interaction that I was able to completely know and understand his character. There are no words to say how very sorry we are for your tragic loss. We have so many wonderful memories of Mark from the scout troop. We watched him grow into a wonderful, kind, devoted young man who cared about the world. As an Eagle Scout, Mark was a role model in Scouts for Thomas and John.

That was so moving and absolutly beautiful!
