Obituary of Eleanor Pecoraro
Eleanor Pecoraro, of Bloomfield passed away peacefully on December 14, 2015. She was 99. Eleanor lived in Newark for 60 years before moving to Verona and Bloomfield. She worked as a secretary for N.J. Bell in Newark and Bloomfield and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield and she enjoyed cooking and baking.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Alphonse, six sisters and one brother. She is survived by her sons, Richard Pecoraro and his wife Patricia and Stephen Pecoraro, her grandsons, James and Nicholas and great-grandson, James Jr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16th from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral and Cremation Service, 1284 Broad Street, Bloomfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday December 17th at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue Bloomfield. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair.
